Black & Yellow: Ok, let’s just get this over with. Two things come to mind with this combo: this song and a ridiculous bumble bee Halloween costume. Now that we’re past that (you can keep listening to the song) I want you to indulge me here. Try it out, you’ll be surprised. Ps. My favorite way to add yellow to my wardrobe? Colored shoe laces. It’s the easiest and most rewarding update. Also, just as I was finishing up this post, I found this mega amazing outfit. You’re hooked now, no going back.
Navy Blue & Tan: Dream team, ya’ll. They play so well off each other, it’s almost like they sit across from each other on the color wheel. This one is easy to infuse into your wardrobe, off you go to try it out.
Purple & Pink: News flash, barbie isn’t the only girl in town that can wear this color combo. The galaxy print pretty much solidified my love for this duo this season. Don’t even get me started on those Nike Dunks. I already have them in red, but this vintage silver/purple pair is also hollering/screaming/yelling/whistling my name.
This post is sponsored by Def Shop. As always, this post is all me. You already knew that.
This little dress is by far one of my favorite things I own. It’s really different from what I usually gravitate towards, so it helps me push my boundaries and I’m all about that. I wanted to dress it down a bit so I tied a knot on the side, to make the dress a bit shorter and give it those casual vibes. Great trick to help add some texture to any outfit, too. Here’s a similar one at UO that’s equally as incredible (mine is sold out).
When I travel I really love to find the local spots and steer clear of the tourist hyped out joints. However, there is some damn fine people watching to be done in Times Square and that my friends, is something we can all enjoy, tourist location or not. The boyfriend and I had some good times scoping out people in the crazy chaos.
I loved this outfit shoot because of the activity it captures and the stark contrast of my dressy LBD against the other casual outfits.
My two packing “musts” for New York – great walking shoes and outfits that welcomed layering. In this crazy spring weather, leaving the house with beaucoup layers is a must. Without fail, I am always cold. My favorite trick right now? Throw a winter flannel in my purse (hello, it takes up zero space) to have when the temps drop. It’s a million times better than lugging around your jacket for the entire day (only to use it for a few hours late in the day). This saved my life in Brooklyn when we were out from 10 am until 10 pm.
Our day in Brooklyn was probably my favorite. It had an intimate, yet big city vibe. The graffiti was nuts. Every single wall was tagged (my boyfriend pointed out to me several times, in case I was missing it) and I loved it. There’s something about a graffiti wall that speaks to my heart, I naturally gravitate towards them (especially for outfit pics, obvs).
Step up your game this spring/summer, kid. The short suit is hot like fire and you need one, asap. I am in love with the one below, and obviously I know you will be too. Don’t worry, there are some killer inspiration looks to go along with this lineup, you know, just in case you are teetering on the edge wondering if you can “pull it off.” You can. So go for it, and do it now.

Hi kiddos! Quick post to help inspire you to wear weird vintage tees in your everyday life. I’m going crazy over here planning for our upcoming NYC trip. So. Exciting. Unfortunately, that is leaving us little time to have fun on the photo shoot side, so I’ll be keeping it super casual for the next few days over here. More goodies coming your way soon (I mean OBV, NEW YORK, people).
